The best business decision you will ever make
Perfect Pizza – Cambridge
When Devang Patel took over the Cambridge Store in November 2009, the store was below average in many areas, not least of all in terms of sales performance. Devang has implemented many changes since taking over, including improvements to marketing with regular leafleting and sending text messages to his customers as well as major promotions to entice the very large student base in the area. Cambridge is now one our top 10 stores with growth of 12% over the year and a whopping 40% growth in some key weeks this year.
“To be successful in this business, you’ve got to know your market and then give them what they want. We have a lot of students around here, so our marketing focuses heavily on them.”
Perfect Pizza - Leamore
Mandeep Sandhu and Baljinder Kaur took over this Midlands based franchise in October 2008. They have grown it to one of Perfect Pizza’s best franchise stores with 8% sales growth year-on-year. The family members focus on different areas of the business - the brother and sister team work in store to ensure the best possible product is delivered within 30 minutes to their customers - and husband Buta Singh handles the marketing with his own team who distribute up to 10,000 leaflets per week and 3000 voucher books per month.
“Our business model is based on making sure everyone is doing the job they are best suited to. It’s been a great success and, with plenty of hard work and commitment, we are now ready to open our second store.”
Perfect Pizza - Cannock
Satnam Khag has been a franchisee with Perfect Pizza for 12 years. In spite of many competitors opening up in the Cannock area, Satnam’s store continues to be one of our top stores. Satnam and his team are committed to a 30 minute delivery time and a top quality product to ensure he remains a firm favourite with his customers. Satnam also sits on the ‘franchisee advisory board’ sharing his knowledge of the business and assisting in developing the overall business further.
“Everyone at Cannock knows exactly what they need to do each day to ensure we keep our customers coming back for more. The most important thing we always focus on? An excellent product delivered in 30 minutes.”
Perfect Pizza - Ipswich
Karen and Nicola are sisters. They had worked together for many years at KFC, but decided they wanted to be their own boss. Having lived and worked in Ipswich they knew the area well and decided to take over the Ipswich store in March 2009. They run a successful business with the highest standards of quality and customer service and regularly attend our franchisee advisory board meeting to share their ideas with other stores. In spite of a Dominos close by, sales of this store are up 3% year-on-year.
“It’s all about teamwork and consistency. Every pizza we deliver has to be of the highest quality and delivered hot and on time.”
Perfect Pizza - Penn
The previous franchisee had let this store run down. Sam and Aman took over the store in September 2006. Sam already had a successful Perfect Pizza at Fordhouses and went into partnership with Aman to run the Penn store. The team’s commitment to marketing has seen the store go from strength to strength - and it is now a top 20 store, showing record growth of 13.4% year-on-year. Competitors have come and gone, but thanks to Aman’s dedication to product quality, 30 minute delivery and powerful marketing, the store continues to grow.
“We have an excellent product - and we deliver fast. But that would not be enough if potential customers did not hear about us. That’s why we always market ourselves aggressively. And it works.”
Perfect Pizza - Tonbridge / Islington
Reza Ghodrati has been a franchisee for over 15 years, during which time; he has been involved in running many stores, starting out as a manager for other franchisees. Reza is now a successful franchisee with two stores. He ensures all stores have a full marketing programme in place and works 2 days a week at each store. He is a valuable member of the franchisee council.
“Fantastic product and clever marketing. That’s the key to success. Get your product right. Deliver it fast. And tell people about it. That’s the way to make money in this business.”
